Bourbon Street Gumbo and PoBoys

Amazing! The food was delicious top notch southern food. I got the Shrimp Po' Boy. It was juicy and tender all at the same time. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. Our book club chose this restaurant to go with our southern book that was read for the month of June. They didn't disappoint in deliciousness. We can't wait to go back for more.The photos is the chicken po'boy and red beans and rice. I ate mine so fast to take a photo.

Stopped in a few weeks back just to grab a quick lunch while on the go.We were greeted with smiles and the warmest of welcomes.Had the chicken sausage jambalaya and it was absolutely delish! The flavors were on point, food was fresh and the portion was nice.I look forward to stopping in again.

Got carry out to try a few of their items.. it was the best dining experience I have had in some time. The portions are plentiful, food is well seasoned. They do not skimp on anything, and it doesn't cost your arm and a leg.

Everything we tried was 10/10, absolutely delicious and even better than the food I’ve had in New Orleans! The owners/chefs are also super nice and friendly, cannot recommend this place enough.

My family tried this restaurant last night and it was so good! The cat fish po boy was huge and very filling! The seafood, chicken, and andouille sausage gumbo was so flavorful with just the right amount of spice! We also tried the shrimp po boy and that was amazing as well and the Mac and cheese was so cheesy and good! The service was also amazing! Walked in and felt so welcome! We will definitely be going back here again!

I stopped in this place after discovering it by accident while out shopping. Having roots in Louisiana I’m always interested in a bowl of gumbo. I ordered the 12 oz seafood gumbo and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! It was VERY GOOD. The best gumbo I’ve ordered from a restaurant in Michigan. It was very well seasoned (but not salty), spicy, and loaded with large shrimp, crawfish, chicken and andouille sausages. There was meat in every bite, well worth the 15.85 I paid for it. Gumbo is very labor intensive to make. Keep that in mind when you check the price. The staff was very friendly and efficient. These folks know what they are doing on that gumbo. I will be spreading the word. They have only been open since July 2024 and I want them to stay around and expand!!! My go to place for gumbo when I’m not up to making it myself. I only wish they add cornbread to the menu. Thanks!!

First visit here after reading great reviews here and elsewhere. What a great addition to the Waterford restaurant scene. Authentic Cajun in Waterford? Yes! I was in the area so picked up a 16oz Gumbo with seafood. At 17.95, not an inexpensive lunch but this is the real deal. The gumbo was absolutely delicious with a generous amount of seafood. I love hot food but a word of caution to those who do not, the gumbo is definitely spicy as it should be! It's clear the folks running this place know what they are doing in terms of genuine Cajun. I hope the area will support this place as I will for sure return.

Don't pass by this hole in the wall diner. Excellent, authentic New Orleans cooking. Totally unassuming family operation with super food. Hurry before it gets discovered.
